Right Align with Overflow not behaving

Something strange is happening when you right-align a cell with text that is too long for the cell. To behave like GS and XL, the text should overflow cells to the left (if those cells are empty).

At the moment, instead of right-aligning to the edge of the current cell, the text ends up right-aligned to a cell to the right of the current cell. I use right-aligning a lot. Before GS had an overflow option, the work around was to merge cells before right-aligning. This work around is currently working in SS at the moment.

Indeed. We are aware of this limitation. In practice we see left aligned text overflowing more frequently. Cell overflow is not applied to right and center aligned text. This is something we’ll revisit at some point.
