Link out of an individual cell in a column not marked specifically as a URL data type (perhaps as text). Excel and Google Sheets both have the ability to link out individual cells.
Welcome @Gregory_Louie. With Automatic cells, the default data type, this will happen automatically. When a URL is detected in a cell, the cell’s data type will automatically switch to URL and render the link as expected. With cells/columns that have been set to a different data type, such as Text, Spreadsheet.com assumes that you only want raw text in those cells and does not render links.
This is something we plan to improve as we improve Spreadsheet.com’s support for links in non-URL cells. We’ll update this thread when we have more to share.
