MAX(of the children)

How do I calculate the MAX() of the data only in the child rows?
I donโ€™t want just to select the range since users will be adding more child rows and therefore, the MAX() should dynamically capture the new rows.
otherwise rows inserted at the bottom of the range would fall off the range in MAX(range)
