Excel to Spreadsheet connection

I read several posts regarding a connection between Excel and Spreadsheet.com; however, I don’t see a clear answer to what I’m envisioning.
Is it possible to create a live connection to an Excel spreadsheet that only has one way update? For example, I have an Excel spreadsheet that I download from a reporting tool, I save the file to the same location with the same name each time I download. I would like to be able to have a Spreadsheet.com view that updates with the new data. This task is for reporting purposes only.

We do plan to build a native data sync connector to Excel and Google Sheets in the future but do not currently have an ETA for this.
